It was a joke, but there is HS scouting though. It is readily available on the interwebs. It wouldn't be too hard to base approximations off of that if they were so inclined. They obviously do something like that now. How else do the Frosh have ratings at all?

Accuracy? That's another debate lol.

Anyway, what's the difference from them having ratings for all these players? It's the same concept, right? They haven't seen the players play, but they have ratings for them...so why not traits? And why are we talking about NCAA? Last time I checked, this is the Madden forum. Let's focus on madden. It's obvious the EA devs have done that this year, right Blaze?

There's a difference between knowing a person's physicals gifts and mental makeup. You know if someone has the physical tools thanks to the sites out here, but you really don't know how they have it together in their head until they step on that college field.

Anyway, back to Madden. This will be great and keep things fresh. Now people playing with Philly won't know which Michael Vick they will get, and it can bite them in the ***.

Yeah, like the pressure of beating the Cowboys in the run up to SB XLII.

In fairness, though, Eli doesn't have anything near Romo's playoff resume.

But back on topic, this stuff looks great. Can't wait to try it out.

You know, people keep saying this but I'm puzzled. Is this a reference to Atlanta Falcons-era Vick? Eagles Vick was remarkably consistent last year.

Check the game logs. Even when there was a perception towards the back-end of the season that he had started to come back to earth, he was still remarkably good. I can't say he had a single bad game last year:

284 yards 2 TD vs. Detroit
291 yards 3 TD 1 rushing TD vs. Jacksonville
218 yards 1 TD 1 rushing TD plus 74 yards rushing vs. Indianapolis
333 yards 4 TD 2 rushing TD plus 80 yards rushing vs. Washington
258 yards 1 rushing TD vs. New York Giants
333 yards 2 TD 1 INT vs. Chicago
302 yards 2 TD 1 rushing TD 1 INT vs. Houston
270 yards 2 TD 1 rushing TD 2 INT vs. Dallas
242 yards 3 TD 1 rushing TD 1 INT plus 130 yards rushing vs. New York Giants
263 yards 1 TD 1 rushing TD 1 INT vs. Minnesota
292 yards 1 TD 1 rushing TD 1 INT vs. Green Bay in playoffs

Did Vick even have a single bad game? No. He was good to stellar every time he took the field.

What? 258 yards a rushing TD against the Giants was bad? That was his least productive day all last season!

In Madden terms, Vick never dipped below, I'd say, an 85 all year.

I actually wasn't taking a shot at Romo. That's just too easy lol. I was making light of how it is typical of a Cowboy fan to rush to bash Eli. Could have been an Eagle or Washington fan. Would have made the same comment and it would have worked just the same.

You win LOL.

Back on topic -- I also wonder how these traits work against ratings. If a WR has catch rating of 90+, how does the 'drop passes' trait work along with it?

Just looking at TD to Int numbers, no he didn't really have a bad game, but there were many games down the stretch, where he failed to put a stamp on the game and was just there.

If it weren't for the dumbest Defense in the history of Football, you wouldn't have known he was there in either Giants game.

Even with all of Philly's weapons, it's pretty easy to keep Vick under wraps. You just need a defense that understands that you can never be a hero against Vick, only a victim on a highlight reel. Keep outside contain at all times, regardless of whether you think you can get to him on a particular play, and he will self destruct like always if forced to be a pocket passer for an entire game.

If you can't guess, I am not a believer in Vick's ability to beat a team passing consistently lol.
