As long as you offer them a good contract when their current one expires they're not just gonna refuse to sign with you. All the AI coaches and players care about is $$$.

i still had like $5.35 million left after i signed those guys. my salary cap now though is like $550 thousand to sign players with a $5.46 million cap penalty.
