I think the issue at least initially was the frame rate hit. Not sure if that's been solved. I can't imagine they can optimize memory usage any more than they already have. My understanding is they've squeezed about as much as they can out of the current hardware.

I guess my thinking is different. I always felt with any game if something was easy it would be in the game. I have a feeling that dreads are a lot harder than people think.

The dreads in NCAA make the players all look like Predators out on the field. Think I need to recruit either a big Austrian sounding soldier or a LA cop to compete with these guys... or just edit them out of my dynasty.

Like others have said, do it right or don't do it at all. If EA wants to grant your wishes of adding more dreads to Madden, please spend the time and make them look right or don't do it at all.

Maybe someday we can actually have a real way of editing players like pretty much all sports games. Instead of using FACE 1, 2, etc, why can't I choose what face/head/skin color I want and not be stuck with predetermined heads? I'm sure if they added 1 dread length then every person with those dreads would look identical, which would be very annoying.
