So who has decided to get Madden this year that wasn't going to before playing NCAA12

I plan on getting Madden on August 30 then staying out of the Madden forums for awhile. More than half of the issues I read about in the forums I'd never even notice on my own. NCAA football has nothing to do w my decision, since Madden 10 I've liked Madden better than NCAA. I've never been one who's thought very highly of EA, and I've never been one who always contributes w the most positive posts, but I have a good feeling about Madden this year.

You do know you are comparing a game to old madden games. Madden this year is light years ahead of Madden last year in terms of franchise mode

And graphics are and will always be better in Madden.

Talk about the lack of things outside of the field but on the field

Yes thats what made me to decide to get Madden I wasnt going to end up getting it this year, but with the improvements in NCAA its hard not to think that where are not iprovement in Madden. I'm excited for a Offline Franchise with my Buffalo Bills!

I was getting Madden anyway, got a preorder 20% coupon from ea back at my birthday a while back.

But the thing I was most unsure about after all the e3 stuff and the blogs was still core gameplay. I was very happy about offline franchise since that's pretty much all I play, and the presentation looked pretty good.

Since core gameplay in NCAA seems to be well received, and there seems to be a good amount of balance without too many slider adjustments, I'm more optimistic that Madden will follow suit.

To me, core gameplay is the place where Madden and NCAA are most likely to be sharing coding, so the NCAA comments here at OS have me pretty pleased so far.

Since Madden is also implementing DPP, there may be some teaks necessary due to that new feature, but I figure that can be handled with a patch without too much trouble. And since NCAA has had a hiccup on custom playbooks, that makes me think they'll get any similar issues figured out for Madden with a release day patch.

this is tough, last year NCAA was much better then madden, im hoping maddens gameplay is atleast equal to NCAA this year. If gamplay is equal i will get madden, if NCAA feels greatly superior to me again (my personal feeling is ncaa 11 played much better then madden 11), then i will go ncaa.


I am really hoping for a equal or better madden product tho as i am pumped for the franchise upgrades, i am a much bigger NFL fan then NCAA.

I'm a college fball fan moreso than NFL, and I always buy NCAA even though I've been disappointed in every next-gen edition.

Madden was even worse to me, very frustrating game overall, no the least be fun to play. I didn't even buy Madden '11 (first time in years), but after playing NCAA'12 & being blown away I am for sure going to purchase Madden, and from what I've read so far it sounds like it will be way better than NCAA.

I know and that last part is hard to believe after playing NCAA 12, but I'm hearing the same thing about Madden being even better than NCAA this year.
