Posting Rules For The Madden Forum

Well for what it's worth, I think it was last year, there was a conversation about certain things we wanted to see in Madden. Someone said Touchdown celebrations. I replied saying I liked the TD celebrations in NFL 2K5, and would like seeing something like that in Madden. I got a warning for "trolling" because I mentioned 2K on the Madden forum, even though my response was relevant to the conversation at hand.

That said, I don't know that I agree with all the rules here, but I like posting here and coming here for my sports game info, so I abide by the rules. I've been on forums that are a lot worse than this place. The rules really aren't that bad here, and overall, this is an enjoyable place to post. I got duped by the thread title too, but whatevs.

You would have a point if we weren't talking about a demo. Is the in-depth analysis really necessary for a demo? That's a bit of overkill. People complained we were a bit too strict with the topic specific impression threads and here people are asking for them for a demo. Can't please everyone.

And it's not that hard to utilize the tools of the forum to find people who have replied to you. See this icon? It allows you to go to the next unread comment in a thread. If you make a post and leave for a day, go back to the thread and click that icon - bam - you are instantly back to where you left off. Just go through the thread and see if anyone responded to you. More than likely they didn't if you don't see any replies after about 20 posts or so.

The roundtable was an article by writers on our staff. It gets posted so people can discuss their comments. Unlike the Impressions thread where forum posters can discuss the game. Of course, this isn't any different than if select forum member's impressions were hand selected and highlighted because of the depth and fairness of their analysis.

Key word "warning". You didnt get banned. We dont ban people for posting a gripe as long as they dont violate the TOS while doing it.

Awesome way to get people to read the rules. I bet most of the people complaining are the ones who would ignore a new "rules" thread anyway.
