Have they said anything about having the day one patch? Without having corrected gameplay it's much less appealing then it would be otherwise.

They did say we would get the updated rosters so I sure the day 1 patch will be there as well.

This is really a smart move by EA for a couple reasons.

First, it gives them a cut of the "black market" of early game sales. And they've done it in an ingenious way.

Second, it gives people like me who only play Madden and NCAA a chance to try the hockey, soccer, and golf games, which leads to more purchases.

Considering how long it takes to download a demo, I'm worried that with increased traffic we're going to have some major issues. I hope not but, I'm assuming the download will take several hours for some people.

Yeah, the more I look at this, the more I like it. I would like to be able to try out NHL and FIFA. I do wish we could just keep the downloaded game and pay for it online...hell they could even restrict it to the Season Ticket holders. But $5 a game to try out 5 full games for 3 days. Not bad.

I am curious what the "premium" online content will be for Madden...along with the 20% off DLC. Is that just basically going to be MUT? How about some classic team love? I'd pay a buck or two to download the Greatest Show on Turf.
