Is this the only commentary line that Gus Johnson recorded for introducing spotlight players? I'm already tired of hearing this and we are still 2+ weeks away from release. I know, minor gripe, but this just seems like an oversight that will grow stale pretty quick.

At least he talks about the individual players before he says that. I am afraid that they only have one player on offense and defense per team that they spotlight though, hopefully next year with the new commentary engine they will spotlight 4-5 players on each side of the ball per team. I.E. Green Bay-Rodgers, Jennings, Driver, Finley, Grant. Woodson, Collins, Matthews, Williams, Raji.

Yeah, just vids at this point. Even though the final build isn't out yet, I doubt they would add any commentary this late in the game though.

Just videos we have seen, no one that I know of has the final game or has even released video of it. I know during the Ustream of the pats/eagles today they said it was very close to the final build, but not the final one.

I don't mind it. It's a nice way to tie in the "Player To Watch" production feature, almost as if you're watching a real show. Anything to get that presentational verisimilitude going is all right with me.

...yes, I just included the word "verisimilitude" in a post. Be jealous. ;D

Who told you it was one per team? I find that hard to believe, unless you mean only one performer per game. Are you saying, if Nick Collins gets injured, Gus won't mention another Packers player on the defense? Also, is it mixed up or is it Nick Collins every time in the retail game?
