How hard is it to understand?
there are acts in place that can be thrown at EA too though. Like anti competitive. Antitrust etc..... There is stuff going down though that peopel don't understand. It's a form of socialism. This is what businesses are being instructed to do. This stuff is happening all over the place.

Not in this case. If they don't give you permission to make money off of their game, you dont have a chance in hades of winning.

If you think this will somehow stop glitching & money plays then you are delusional.
o

Being in an online community such as the OS community will help with that problem, I also record my games aswell just in case someone wants to be clever and sneak glitches by here and there.

I get your point, and I understand the consequences of the actions you posted about and I agree with those.

However, how does what you said relate to this situation?

These people are not rebroadcasting or reselling Prima strategies. They are their own creative products that they are selling. This would be like me buying wood from Home Depot, making a product out of it, selling it, and Home Depot coming to me and saying I can't do that and they want a cut or they are going to shut me down because some big name wood company also buys wood from Home Depot and creates a product from it and sells it. Horrible analogy but you get the point.

I agree. Which is unfortunate. These companies have gotten too big. Before there were several players and it was on a lesser scale where if you weren't allowed by one you had options. You could just go somewhere else. EA doesn't like me? Ok, I will make a guide for 2k. And beat them at their own game. That's how prima came to be. They just kept partnering themselves with the right people. Now it's just them and they wont allow anyone else in.

It's no different then what happened with the phone companies and the baby bells. IT's happening everywhere now.

in order to make said guide they have to use the madden images, and prima has a exclusive contract to be the sole strategy guide maker so if you make a strategy guide that is based off of madden then you are indeed stepping on their toes, i mean if you were the only one in your city that could sell your towns newspapers, but someone opens up shop selling a different newspaper would you let them get away with it, or would you defend your right to sell your paper alone and without competition.

That's different. You legally own the wood when you buy it from Home Depot and thus you can do what you want with it.

What you are saying as an example would be the same as me going and purchasing the Madden franchise from EA and then using it to my liking. That would be legal.
