I am also loving the comeback route this year. Well done.

I also don't know if the DB shading is working correctly. I will shade a db inside and he does nothing most of the time.
i was having problems with that at first to then i figured out you have to be pressing the wr first in order to shade him. You can individually press him then shade him but the problem with that is you have to know what you are doing because you dont have alot of time and thats a lot of button pressing

Re: Madden 12 Retail Impressions (Gameplay - NO QUESTIONS/DISCUSSION)

played my first game: default all pro, 8 min qrts.

Panther vs Falcons

Panthers won 26 -16

For the most part game was solid, a few tweaks, only 2 penalties(but this nothing new to madden), also way too many sacks on both sides: I had 6, and they had 7. Newton ran some, williams / stewart combo solid: all 3 combined for 200 yards rushing. Turner for me had around 100. They had 302 yards total offense, and I had 358. I had 3 turnovers, they had 0. 2 int - one set them up for a td, and 2nd was a pick 6 by gamble. Also fumbled on punt return, guess alot of fair catching this year, man you have no time. I had a 45 yard deep pass to Julio Jones for a TD, had to kick 3 FG.

Very impressed with first game, hopefully just a few tweaks from default and I will be set.

Redskins QB is horrible. Thrown 4 ints. I am not seeing the sacks that others are. Perhaps OL and DL ratings are working?

I played a half as Pittsburgh (me - home) vs. Cleveland (cpu). Score was 0-0, but I wasn't concerned with the score. I really like this game...plays fun.

One cool thing: I blocked a FG attempt - Polamalu got it!!!

Man, I wish all of those would make their way into NCAA.

This is probably the best madden to date. I will give a more detailed impression but my main concern now is "THE SUPER LINEBACKERS" are back once again. Yes, that's right. The famous leaning forward while sprinting pass the WR and reaching backwards with his arm in an unorthodox way to swat the ball down. Some say it's the ball trajectory. We need to find a way around this. So far, I'm living it.

I thought Madden 08 was the better one. Few things in 08 were brought back in 12. For example, gang tackles just for starters.
