Space limitations on disc?

With all the talk about how the names are not said by Gus and it's just the numbers and how we still have the same stale commentary...do you think they have hit max data space on the disc? Seems like they needed to take audio out to make franchise and presentation better. With removing the extra point show is another sign that we hit a plateau. I think we will never see an overall huge improvement on all aspects of the game until the next generation consoles come out. Your thoughts?

Madden 12 isn't even 5 GB big, so the answer is no

That's an interesting theory but I get the feeling "Dynamic Commentary" will be a back-of-the-box feature next year.

Re: Space limitations on disc?

Absolutely not, the 360's new disc format just released months ago holds up to 7.8 gigs. . . Madden 12 is strangely a mere 4.75 GB's

It's not a interesting theory at all. XBOX disc can hold up to 7.9gbs, this download was 4.2 or 4.7 I cant remember exactly, but it wasn't even 5GB. They have another 3.2GBs to go.

So no disc space is not a issue.

Re: Space limitations on disc?

Are gamers with the disc version seeing the same problems as those with the downloaded Season Ticket version? I'm only wondering, because there could have been a few files removed in the downloadable version for space reasons that may only be there on disc. I'm pretty sure it's the same way with other downloadable PSN titles like Burnout: Paradise, which I also have. Just a theory, though.

Re: Space limitations on disc?

There are no disc space issues; if someone says that, they're either making excuses or don't know what they're talking about. A single-layer Blu-Ray disc can hold 25GBs for PS3; double for a dual-layer. The 360 uses DVD-9 discs, so there's no issue there even with the significantly reduced space on 360 game discs.
