Best Combined Madden/NCAA year?

With mixed reviews coming in about Madden and NCAA having some major legacy issues, I am strongly considering going back to get older versions of Madden and NCAA. However, I'd like to purchase the games from the same year as I really enjoy importing classes into Madden franchises.

So, I'd like to ask, what's the best combined year of Madden/NCAA (especially in regards to franchise modes)? 10? 09? 08? I never bought NCAA last year, so it's been since 10 that I had both games (which I did enjoy). What do you all think?

For Dynasty to Franchise nuts it would probably be 2005 or 06 IMO. Draft classes actually worked lol and you had CAP in franchise to make additional rookies that werent good enough to make the Draft cut. Only years I played Dynasty and Franchise over 2 years...this year is shaping up to be another disappointment

2012.. draft classes do work, dont listen to that nonsense lol... but if you get 12 remember to save your draft classes the SECOND time it asks, not the first or it wont transfer lol

Yea they work after a workaround but what does that do for all of the players that didnt save the 2nd time and are knee deep in a dynasty? Its not nonsense and how exactly is it amusing? Its a bug that has never been in these games before this year. Before the patch/tuner era the worst thing was the nano blitz, now we have to worry about whether or not advertised features actually work as they should.

It should be common sense to save after you're shown which players are leaving or staying.
