Why oh why do they remove things?

Sounds like it's all licensed stuff that's missing. It's not just the Chiefs 'touchdown chant', it's Rock'n Roll Part 2 .

I noticed fewer of the stadium music from last year, only one I really have 'missed' is the Chiefs chant since I am playing them in my franchise.

Sick of the NFL Films/Sam Spence music, didn't notice it was gone.

With few exceptions the soundtrack this year is pretty forgettable, especially after last year where it really shined IMO.

Rock and Roll part 2 is in the game. They just use a generic version of it.

It was not 3D grass in the way this is 3D grass. It looked terrible, so they took it out. The grass used from 08-11 looked much better than the grass used in 07. It wasn't so they could stick it back in 4 years later and call it "new".

Yes it does count. Stuff was in, then it was taken out and then added back in again. And, no, they didn't have to start from scratch. They chose to start from scratch.
