So who's playing in a Madden 12 release party tournament tonight?

Worst Madden release night for me ever. I get to my local Wal-Mart at 8:45, the tournament was supposed to start after 9 according to the manager I talked to earlier today, but they tell me oh we're sorry we started it at 8 and we can't let anyone else join. I let them know I already had signed up earlier and my name was on the list for the bracket and I had been in this specific tournament since they started having it in 2008. They were like sorry but we can't let you play. Very disappointing and aggravating to say the least. Now I have to wait until some time tomorrow to get the game at a local game store where I have $45 store credit. The Madden release party and tournament is a huge deal for me and a tradition I haven't missed out on since 2003. So looks like I have to wait until Madden 13 to experience this tradition again.

heres how it went down tonight 24 people came down to two this guy won and has been running his mouth all night saying he was the best. and well haha i had to say something since well it was my tournament. and i kicked his butt 35-0 boy o boy was he ticked off, and i told him hes lucky i worked at walmart and couldnt win the game

Just got home from the Walmart in this little podunk town close to where I live. Needless yo say 8 of the people playing were from the same inbred family (not kidding I live in Oklahoma). I think they showed up for the free food so they could save their money for meth, other than that 3 decent players in the tourney, I played as the Ravens won with defense. Not used to the offense yet but Ed Reed's 8 picks throughout the ensured my win. Along with the game I got an offbrand controller worth 30 bucks. They tried to sharpie the barcode but nothing hairspray can't get rid of lol so I got me a free copy of Madden and 30 dollars that'll be on a giftcard. (Any one got suggestions on what I should do with it? :P) A night of win for me I'd say.

My Walmart had a PS3 and XBOX bracket 1st place on each system keeps the system and game just opened for the tourney. 2nd places get the game and 3rd places get $50 gift card. I wasn't allowed to play cuz I'm an associate but my buddy is winning the championship right now and my other friend who lost to that guy should win 3rd place against a kid who got two byes when people didn't show up.

I just got done playing in one at the Best Buy in Merced, CA.

I finished 4th.

I was pretty surprised, because I had little to no expectations going in.

Before getting skunked (inability to defend against BS hail mary plays for some reason) I had scores of 24-6, 21-0 and 28-20.
