Player Roles

I edited some players from the main menu and changed a few appearences and ratings. I then started a franchise mode and looked at player roles. I noticed that none of the players I had edited had any player role. I'm pretty sure some of them should have a role as I edited the entire Colts offense and a lot of QBs around the league. Is there any solution to this problem? Will the loss of roles effect the on the field preformance?

I may be wrong, be I thought I read or heard somewhere that over time, depending on how you play certain players, they will eventually assume that role. For example, if you're continually using one specific receiver as your "deep threat" then he'll get assigned that role.

This is definitely a glitch, and needs to get into that thread if it isn't already. I started a franchise with the packers just to test a few things, with unedited rosters. All the roles were there. Started a new 'chise after editing the Packer's equipment, and I now have 0 player roles. How disappointing. I haven't tried editing a player after starting a franchise, maybe that will work.

I just tested to see if the roles would still disappear if you edited a player inside of franchise mode. Unfortunately they do. This is a huge deal to me. I have a lot of fun editing players equipment throughout the season. Guess I can't do that anymore.

i definitely consider this issue bigger than pretty much any other glitch ive seen so far

Eerily similar to the roster bug in NCAA and at least as bad. I really hope this is something they patch quickly - considering how the feature was touted.

This is very odd, I edited Nnamdi's equipment because he didn't have the half sleeves and he still has the Shutdown Corner trait....
