resolution question

what does madden look the best in on the ps3 It says on the back of the box it goes up to 1080i I have tried 1080p 720p and 1080i and to me 720p looks the best. But I was just wondering what your thoughts were on your ps3 systems

Re: resolution question

I actually have the opposite issue....The game says on the back it goes up to 1080P, but when i start up the game, it automatically goes into 720P mode....I want it to be in 1080P!!

how did you get yours to actually show up in 1080P?

Re: resolution question

Mine doesn't look that great in 1080p. How do you change the output to 720? Is it on the TV settings?

1080p is only good if your hd screen is 50 inches or better other then that 720p is the best 1080p is for larger screens if you dont believe me google tech youl find out.

So does 1080p make smaller screens look inferior or is it that 1080p doesn't give smaller screens any noticeable effects?

Re: resolution question

Game looks fine on my TV 55" 1080p, 360.

I think that there are some jaggies though when you are looking at it from certain camara angles and the game could use some Anti Aliasing in those cases, but current gen hardware is a bit limited there.

Re: resolution question

So if I'm playing on a 32" screen, should I be playing in 720p?

Re: resolution question

Guys this has been discussed at nausea

PS3 version is native 720p, if you force 1080p by checking the 720p then you are forcing the ps3 to put madden under 720

Madden does not do 1080p on ps3. It upscale to 1080p on 360 because the xbox has a dedicated upscale which dies not lower resolution like ps3

It does not matter one bit the tv you have, tvs do not improve graphics.
