First we put up with the radio guy for years...(according to EA this was their attempt to immerse us in "on the field presentation". Remember that line?)

Then when they snap out of that Twilight Zone concept we get Hammond and Collinsworth...ugh....I was playing my CE of 09 the other night and Collinsworth is still using the same commentary.

I admit I was excited when Hammond got the ax and Gus was brought on...but the way they use Gus it has just been pitiful. They took "Home-made Spaghetti Sauce" talent and made Delmonte Ketchup out of it.

For questioning this thread You should be sentenced to a month of playing Madden with Crowd Noise Off; Field Chatter Off; PA Off and Announcers at 100%. Yikes!

Yeah Gus is cool but some stuff cracks me up in the way he says....that's on him...not EA's implementation. My point was... maybe its better to have a non-name guy do play-by-play because of the time they can devote to recording. And their scheds wont conflict as much. gus is stretched pretty thin. I think he does some boxing matches too

I said in another thread I wanted Mayock and John Gruden. Hell, I'd take Dennis Miller or Tony Kornheiser over Gus Johnson. Imagine the great analytical mind and football smarts of Mayock mixed with the hard nosed tell it like it is attitude of Gruden.
