does controlling all 32 teams mean no free agent bidding war?

i'm considering controlling all the teams to adjust coaching schemes and such.

but will this essentially mean i'd have to bid one of my teams against another of my teams for free agents?

is there a way to basically just bid with the team i play with myself but have the CPU bid for the other 31 teams even if i control them?

if not, i suppose i would have to control all the teams the first year, adjust coaching schemes to my liking...

then play some "house rules" for free agency so there's some challenge to it and i don't get every player i want and then at the end of the year go back to one team.

thoughts?
