12min. Gets decent stats and enough possessions.

Omega, is there not an option under Franchise Options?

I have yet to start a offline franchise but I know for a fact you can turn off accelerated clock in ONLINE franchise mode. I hope this is not the case, I can't see this being true.

I play 7 min with accel clock running the play clock to 15 seconds.

I don't know how people can play 10+ minute quarters. I think even 7 takes a long time Maybe if there was in-game save I would.

I cant' believe you guys get realistic stats using 6 or 7 minute quarters. On 12 minutes my linebackers are finishing games with 5 tackles.

Re: How many minutes do you set your francise on?

10 minutes. Play clock is automatically 20. There is a thread on this in here. You cannot change it in franchise mode.

10 minutes provides good stats (except tackles). Offenses see quarterbacks get between the 18 - 30 throws on most occassions. Some passing teams throw more. Running backs get their 15 - 20 (if they are feature backs). Avg's look good if you use the right slider set, I use Celg35s with minor tweaks.

The only way you will ever get semi realistic tackling stats is to do 15 minute quarters. And then your scores get out of hand. Unfortunately imho, tackles have never been a realistic stat in madden.
