Maximum Free Agents?

I want to try and get the rosters down to 53 per team by releasing players that won't make the roster and am wondering if there is a maximum number of free agents the game allows as that's where all those released will end up. I know in past games this has been an issue for me.

not sure if true or not but i heard fa pool will be able hold up to 200 players.
