How do you stop the in routes and slants??

Okay I'm playing online and I swear this guy is calling the same hot routes to slants and in routes and I cant stop him from completing the pass. I'm playing with Greenbay and he's using a 5 WR set and going to his in or slant route every time and the guy is running across the field open every time. Is man D broken? Do I have to play zone all the time and if so what zone works to stop this. I appreciate your help here.

Use man and manually shade your DBs to the inside of him. Mix in some press coverage too.

Oh wow thanks didn't know you could shade them on man coverage to go to the inside.

Notice he said "manually shade your DB's" From what I can gather, using the shading system in the game does not make a difference. At least I have not seen/witnessed it at all. I tell them to shade to the inside and they give up the slant, In and everything else going inside. I tell them to shade outside, the give up the out, the corner and everything else. Now mind you, he still has to be a good CB to make plays on the football, but he should at least be in position to make a tackle and a lot of times they are not. I'm sure the WR's route running also is factored into the equation.
