Has this been fixed in Madden 12? I haven't messed with custom playbooks yet, but I'm going to spend some time this week putting together a playbook for the Broncos and Giants, the two teams that I'll be using in Franchise Mode.

you still need the 2 controller workaround

If I can "change the play" as I saw someone mention in the thread...I might as well just pick my play from the start.

Plus, picking the play challenges my defensive coordinator mind - so I get double challenge, picking the right play and trying to think what's best for my personnel, enemy tendency, and situation, and then executing.

so why dont u make your own gp's?

that makes the game so much more better.
that is the reason they put it in there.

especially for the goal line and redzone situations

oh

and the 2 minute drill section of the gp's are terrible.
every single stock gp has strong flood as a top rated play

u need to change it for the cpu's sake

Gameflow is great on offense, but it sucks on defense.

Mainly because I do want to actually play the game.

Between dickering with sliders to coaching settings to 32-team franchises, and then coming up with multiple gameplans? And then tweaking those until they are right too?

And do I need to do it for all 32 teams? Can I make a few gameplans and share them around?

I'm already contemplating creating "new generic playbooks" for the AI teams (that get rid of plays like Engage Eight and other just plain poorly designed plays) and then you have to use a workaround to do that too...

With my limited time, it's just less time to actually play the game...

thats exactly what i said!!!! lol

I dont make 64 gp's anymore

jus gp's for the standout/unique offenses and defenses

other than that I make my own generic gp's such

- 43 Man
- 43 Zone Blitz
- Tampa 2
- 34 Man
- Smashmouth
- Pro Style
- Coryell
- West Coast
- TE Heavy
- 46

only a few teams in the game actually need an authentic defensive gp and those are

Ravens, Steelers, Packers, Pats,Eagles

most teams that use a 3-4 use a base defensive I have them share my 3-4 Man gameplan
