The Little Things (Missed).......

Perhaps these are small, but they've always driven me crazy:

-Mishaps such as bad snaps/holds on ST, fumbled snaps under center, a snap going over a punter's head (but STILL have a set % of getting some sort of K away...scramble on the run?!).
-Penalty calling overhaul so that REAL penalties are called and not just the same 3 and also things like off-setting penalties, multiple penalties on the same play, etc.

I agree with others about more dynamic commentary that is robust and changes each year, and also about the backup QB being pulled (and perhaps other positions...OL comes to mind).

Ok...since we're talking "little things" (not a wishlist)

• It would be nice to see (pre-game) more overlays on the coaches. And the commentators should mention the coaches at times throughout the game.
• Show key players headed toward the locker room if they're knocked out for the game (or even in question). Make it a suspense....."Oh no...is Peyton coming back in?" NFL drama!!
• Coaches getting after more than just the QB. Like CB's on busted coverage.
• Coaches like Andy Reid and Jason Garrett holding the play sheet over his mouth talking into the headset.
• Can we get the coordinators? It'd be awesome to see Rob Ryan standing near Jason Garrett. Or in the background kneeling down talking to the defense.
• Players should stop helping guys from the other team up. (I'm sorry, but the NFL is sort of a mean sport) Its rare in real life.

I know....someone's gonna post "EA needs to focus on gameplay, gameplay, blah, blah..."

But the OS ask for "little things." Great thread by the way. Things like this are what makes The Show and NBA 2K so great. Keep it up. Hopefully it gets noticed.

This is why I think EA needs to make the online play now game much different from the offline game. The online win at all costs crowd would whine and cry if a bobbled snap on a xtra point or fg cost them the game. The offline sim player would love it.

The more features like bobbled snaps, cariety of penalties, real fg% option the better IMO. But after seeing the trainwreck that was Fight Night Champion, I know there is no way to please the offline sim gamer and online play now player at the same time.

EA need to hire a group of testers who know football and actually test franchise mode, superstar mode etc in order to get rid of all these 'little things' before they ship the game.

And yes, it would be great if they improved things year to year without breaking/removing other stuff.

One little thing they missed was a sideline analyst. Something similar to what 2k does with the NBA franchise. This would be a good way of getting information about the coaches , standings , injuries , pregame/halftime reports , and the like to the user.

Also helps with the broadcast aspect of the presentation. The additions EA added this year are great , but still not up to par with The Show , NBA2k , or MLB2k.
