Hah. You got this backwards if you want to talk about selling jerseys. Woodson would choose a different number because then they can sell both #21 Tomlinson jerseys and whatever number Woodson jerseys.
FWIW, I also disagree with whoever said that Tomlinson has had a better career. Woodson's a 6 time All-Pro. Tomlinson 4 times. LT won an MVP, Woodson has a Defensive POY and ROY. Very similar HOF careers, two of the greatest players we've had a chance to see. Woodson's just done it a bit longer at the same elite level as well as being likely to have a better career going forward, IMO.
