Stupid trades

I traded Ryan grant and a 1st round pick for Von miller and the broncos 2nd and 3rd round picks. Why would the broncos trade away their second overall pick in last years draft for an aging rb they have no need for? The AI in this version of madden is so dumb

Agree'd, the trade AI can be very IFFY at times. You just have to regulate yourself. Before you do a trade ask yourself "Would this team really agree to this in real life?". That's what I have had to do.

Unfortunately some people rather play with a fantasy football team then a regular one...but hey, to each their own

Its even worse... The Eagles have Rogers-Cromartie on the Tradeblock, which could be real after all. What they want is something like a ~OVR 85 MLB.

So, get Tatupu from FA, sign him to the low 1year contract and trade him to the Eagles for RC - sometime I just dont get it, what EA is thinking...

Stuff like that works for ages now and could so easily be avoided. Just give every guy from the FA list now and in the future a hidden flag to make them not tradeable - maybe just to easy a solution for EA to come up with it...

I would say that with the exception of some hardcore non-graphic baseball sims that I've played... most sports video games have goofy trade logic. Madden is exceptionally bad... as even during the franchise salad days from the Playstation2... the trade logic was still goofy as heck. Just deal with it when the computer refuses to accept a reasonable trade... and don't take advantage when they are willing to accept an unreasonable one.

Thats what I usually do - avoid cheating on the CPU even if I could make good use of DRC with my Niners

Still its annoying that you can get him for an older guy who is (even worse) on FA but you cant get him for a 2nd Rounder in this or next years draft... Plain stupid

I've got 2 franchises set up. One legit and another where anything goes. It can make it interesting like in this case facing Denver 2 weeks after I made the trade. Didn't see grant but on maybe 4 carries but miller got one good lick on orton.
