is it me or is trading in franchise mode completly broken? just tried trading phillip rivers, vjax, and 1st rounder for hillis and the browns said no really????

I've seen this too, but I attribute this to the teams not wanting to trade certain players, especially young talented players. I tried trading for Darren McFadden but the Raiders wouldn't accept any trade for him, which I think is pretty close to the truth. It forces me to find talent elsewhere or try to develop talent from the bottom of rosters, which is fun.

I've tried to tried a few times, and I've never been successful. I even tried to trade Demarcus Ware for a future pick and got rejected.

Every trade ive tried gets rejected, even ones on the trading block when i offer what they are requesting. Not unusual though. Trades rarely happen in the NFL anyway, especially for big time players.

I think thats great that you just can't go out and start making deals for everyone you want. Why would the Browns give up Hillis for Rivers when they have Mccoy who looks pretty good. Then they would have to go and look for a running back again.

I did make a good trade with Philly, sending MLB Mario Haggans and a 1st round pick to Philly and getting CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. So you can make deals, and I think this one was good.

I have found out that some of the reason for trades not working are the teams you are trading with can;t just give you a pick for a player because there roster is full so it says not interested even if the player you are offering is from the position they need on the trading block. I have started offering a player for a pick and adding a very low over all player from there roster and I have gotten the trades to go through that way more often than not. But also I have noticed sometimes if I place a very good player on the trading block to get some future picks teams want to offer me 3 round picks for first round players.

Trade logic during the raft is completely broken.. Have not gotten them to accept a trade for picks yet.
