Multiple position defaults/assignments
Not really sure what to call this, but I think this idea is more focused on Franchise players.
One thing that I dislike about Franchise is "minimal position" requirements. Maybe it's because real NFL teams can very where their players line up and play and don't need an exact minimal of certain positions. What I would like to see that Madden to adopt, is the ability of players to play different positions more naturally.
Now, what I mean by this is not just the whole 3-4 OLB vrs 4-3 DE. What I would like to see is that, in a way, maybe your more versatile players are more generalized instead of designated a certain position.
What I mean by this is that if you have a guy who could play DB/SS, he would be listed as a DB. Or, you have a guy who can be a DE/DT he's listed as a DL. Same thing for HB/FB. You can still have a FB slot, but why can't I designate a player as my FB (regardless if he's a HB, TE, etc.), without him actually being a true FB.
I guess what I'm going at is that not every player is designated to play 1 single position. And what I don't like about that as a Franchise player is that if I have 4 LOLB that I like, 2 who play LOLB and 2 who I want to play MLB (and don't want to fill up 2 scrubs at MLB for the roster), why must I change their position to MLB. I don't like this because in the future if a CPU team picks them up, they'll never look at them as viable options as OLB's.
