Wes Welker is underrated on Madden

Wes Welker has been by far the best reciever this year, he should be at least a 95 overall. I realize he is 5 foot 9 but that doesn't mean he should be lower than players he out performs.

5. Wes Welker

Having 5 recievers 95 overall sounds like a bit much, but when you think about it their are 3-4 times more elite recievers compared to every other position, because of the fact that every team needs a lot.

He plays way better than his rating. His rating is prolly a lil low becuz he doesn't have high catch in traffic and spectacular catch rating. I believe his catch rating is like a 91-93

All of the Pats ratings are about 10 points lower than what their on-field performance warrants.

This is intentional, however. The ratings correct themselves when you purchase the "Camera Equipment" Ultimate Trading Card pack.

even though im an avid Pats/Brady hateer, i admit welker is a beast. although his rating should be higher, it doesnt matter to me since the two teams i would NEVER be are the pats and bears. plus big WRs dominate on madden

You can't look at him as an OVR rating. What specific ratings does he have that you believe are too low?

Also, what does being 5'9" have anything to do with his OVR?

Because he is underrated... as a football fan I created this thead, not as a gamer.

Lets just say that if he was 6 feet or taller with the same set of skills he has today, and the same stats he would be rated a little higher
