Best player in Madden

If you had the number 1 pick in a fantasy draft on Madden who would you take? Just for fun lets say you have 3 different first pick scenarios.
1. You have to draft and offensive player
2. Must draft a defensive player
3. You can draft anyone

1. Andre Johnson, you can't go wrong with grabbing a reciever that will catch any ball thrown to him.
2. Darrelle Revis, Im guessing a lot of people will pick him, but you simply can't beat Revis Island
3. Andre Johnson, most important postion on offense is WR IMO.

Anyone who takes Andre over Calvin has to be simming the games. There's no reason to take any other WR over CJ, and he's a lot younger as well.

Haha why not Wes Welker? Thought he was the best WR in the league?

1) Cam Newton (young and will be elite)
2) Patrick Willis (middle of the field is his)
3) Cam Newton (too dominant to pass up)

Cam newton is a ridiculous first pick in a madden fantasy draft.

he doesnt get taken until the 4th or 5th round...why waste a 1st pick to get someone you can get 4 roundsl later?


1. Chris Johnson- In madden speed is extremly overrated, CJ2k has speed. Also a RB that can catch is a big part of my offense
2. Patrick Willis ( as the guy that I gave a hard time about Newton said....the middle of the field is his)....simply a beast...and I control MLB on defense, so having someone as good as willis is nice.
3. Patrick Willis - Offense...you can make due with "poor man's players", defense...not so much.

Well said. I was going by the title of the thread and wasn't considering where the CPU drafts players.

In that case, Chris Johnson, once he hits the corner he's gone.

1.) Aaron Rodgers - Best QB in the game & in his prime
2.) DeMarcus Ware - Great pass rusher & great against the run & can play in any kind of D you run
3.) Aaron Rodgers - Best player at the most important position

(1) - Andre Johnson :: Catches pretty much everything and when he is in the open field people will not catch him.

(2) - Clay Matthews :: Seems like he gets a couple of sacks a game and makes tackles when the CPU is running. In the 3rd of 4th season he becomes a 99 overall.

(3) - Drew Brees :: I know I choose Johnson as the Offensive Player but a team is know good without a good QB otherwise he will be throwing overpowered passes and inaccurate passes. Brees is deadly accurate and has great ability to find the short throw.
