Do you guys play Pre-Season and if so why?

Same with me. I play all pre-season games, but sometimes super-sim them once I've found out how my new/improved players perform

Just the first game or so. That way I can determine my backups and players I don't want to cut.

I usually play the first 2 pre-season games at a minimum just to get a feel for how my new players actually play. I don't rely solely on the attributes to make decisions during cut day.

I play every game but cut down the quarters to 6 min. This way I get to play and discover some hidden talent and the games dont take too long

I turn Sim Injuries off during preseason. Not realistic, but I say it's the coaches telling guys to play all out all the time, just get back into the groove of playing everywhere and facing "live contact", etc.

I almost always play week 1 and 2 of preseason. That way I can see the back-ups/rookies in live game situations and see how they might use their talents best. I know I can use practice, but they won't play MY defense during the season, but they might play some of the guys on the pre-season schedule.

I play along the same week as the NFL so I do play the preseason games when Madden releases. Now if I start a new franchise after the season started I skip the preseason games.

I just skip them now. All it is, is cutting UDFAs. Stupid UDFAs...
