That is not how that play is supposed to go though. Just b/c you can, doesn't mean you should. But to each his own.
But as you can see at 6'5"-6'6" 250, and much more athletic than any other QB outside of Vick, he adds an element to an NFL Offense which is not conventional. When VY was starting in Tennessee in 2008 they ran options with him a nd Chris Johnson.

They put in an entirely new formation to try to add some elements for Cam (Wildcat Spread only in CAR PB), like Denver's "Bronco Heavy" for Tebow.

Hopefully they add a few option plays, but I would also like to see defensive options like in NCAA, but just because it's not common in the NFL due to the stereo-typical NFL offense (which is changed as you're seeing more spread) doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the game.

Regarding the Jet Sweep lateral, when given lemons make lemonade. You can lateral on any play and sometimes on interceptions it can lead to a return for a TD, kinda like Ed Reed's lateral vs Carolina last season for a TD. On the PA Jet Sweep you can get blown up but if you can turn the corner as the "Wildcat" you have a good chance of busting a big play.

"Athletic" or scrambling QB's do not win Super Bowls. They can have success, but overall they do not win the big one. Now before you go say "Steve Young", he was also a very good passer. He was a passer that could run. And before you say "Aaron Rodgers", do you really think scrambler when you hear his name? No.

But, back to my point, that is what is so impressive about Cam and where he came from-his passing and the way he reads his progressions, is VERY impressive to say the least. His added dimension of running is very dangerous as well.

Back on topic, I agree that there should be added option plays. Legitimate read-option and triple option plays. They just won't b/c of the cheese factor, again. But, as someone who used VY alot and will now use Jake Locker w/ CJ, I want the options.
