Of course you can't blame Hillis and his agent for trying to cash in after having what will probably be his best statistical year of his career.

I thought it was funny when Hillis kept winning votes for the cover of madden, heck I even was voting for him for the simple fact that I wanted to see if he would actually get voted on the cover, not cause I was a Hillis fan.

Agreed...the voting baffled me...it's like people don't know football or something or just wanted a "different guy" on the cover. Aaron Rodgers was hands down the best choice for the cover....right now he's the NFL's poster boy and should be Madden's as well. The whole vote setup here was ridiculous and other than 2-3 guys, how could you vote ANYONE over Rodgers???? He should be on the cover next year as well.

Hillis was the "flavor of the week" and likely got his votes that way...and this unfortunately reflects societal attitudes these days as what's trendy seems to take precedence over what's good.

Doesnt the curse have to do with injury? Not with performance and stats?

This is what I was thinkin the curse meant too. Injuries.

I just hope Tom Brady never goes on the cover. Or the entire Boston Red Sox... those booze hounds dont need any more trouble.

I vote for anyone on the Jets.

it started with injuries then one of the cover guys didn't get injured but had a bad year so people started to say that was part of the curse as well.

it's not real, it's whatever people make it out to be.

Ahh, gotcha.

So basically bad mojo for the cover boy.

In this case I vote for Ben "wont take no as an answer from a woman" Roethlisberger.

I took Hillis as my 3rd ovr draft pick in fantasy. Worst decision of my life.

OUCH!!! I had 11th pick... I took Jones Drew (decent, but literally no TDs) and Roddy White (AVGing like 7 points a week) - (in that order)... 12th pick got McFadden and Calvin Johnson. FML

There's no such thing as curses.
