I agree with this. A short yardage back is just as common as a 3rd down back. If you have one, why not the other.

Don't they have where you can sub on the fly on the play calling screen for specific formations within sets? For example, you can sub your 2nd QB in if you go to a 5 wide set.

Custom packages is the answer to everything. Really no need for any depth chart reworking unless they are going all the way with it by adding authentic designations like SAM, WILL, LEO, ELEphant, Jack, etc.

Yes, but you can never undo the subs... if you make a change in a formation once, it stays forever, until you make a different sub- so you have to sub EVERY time you call a play. The R-stick packages are easier.
