do u guys actually play these games or skip it altogether the reason im asking is cuz every preseason game i play i get killed and it gets really depressing after a while.

I usually sim, but don't save just incase someone good gets hurt.

In my first season I played them to get a feel for the game and controls. I just simulated them in my second season and I will probably simulate them for my third season. I am in the off-season now and we'll see who I need to develop more. Your players improve in training camp and in pre-season so we'll see.

I play them. i just got beat by the raiders 24 - 31 so i know what you mean.

I know it seems like a waste of time but I play the preseason games. I just like to see how the rookies do and (this is the start of my third season), I'm changing to a different playbook so I want to get a feel for the plays before I start the season.

I get killed in preseason games though. I've probably won a total of 3 games in 3 preseasons.

It's a good evaluating tool for the 2nd stringers. Whether or not you want to re-sign them when their contracts expire.

I'm not a simmer, never have been one.

I usually play one game each preseason(usually the 3rd) to see how rookies and FAs are going to be as far as actually playing with them. Also like to test out a few different kick returners to see who i'm gonna use because I almost always loose at least one of my return guys in the offseason.

I always sim the preseason, and then I look at all of the stats of the rookies afterwards. I can still see how well my rookies are doing, I just don't need to play the games.

ha, first preseason game with the eagles against the saints and i lose 49-42 thats the highest scoring game ive played so far.
