Wide Recievers and Tight Ends Jumping

Does anyone else notice this doesn't happen as much as it does in the NFL. I've thrown plenty of picks because I try to throw a jump ball, and only the DB jumps, while my receiver or tight end will either try to catch it in stride or not go for the ball at all. Does anyone else know how to get your players to jump, seeing Graham, Colston, Hernandez or Gronk not jump for passes is getting slightly agitating.

I'm pretty sure it's something you have to live with on M12 UNLESS you user-control the receiver while the ball is in the air and make him jump/fight for the ball.

IDK about this one? I play in Coach mode and my guys jump for and catch the ball way too much for my taste.

Re: Wide Recievers and Tight Ends Jumping

I notice the people with high Spectacular Catch ratings jump for the ball more than people who don't.

For example, whenever I throw streaks Devery Henderson will jump for it while Lance Moore lets it fall into his hands then he gets rocked and drops it or the CB deflects it.

Just get a guy with 90+ Speed and 85+ SPC and JMP and you will have a deep threat receiver.

If you user catch:

Quote:
Lay off the sprint.
Angle toward the ball.
Tap the catch button.
If you don't user catch:

Quote:
Start user catching.

Re: Wide Recievers and Tight Ends Jumping

IMO there's a problem in general with the receivers not attacking the ball. The only exception to this seems to be on crossing routes, where they turn a 5ish yard route into a 1 yd gain.

Re: Wide Recievers and Tight Ends Jumping

Even if you try and user catch it, even if you time it perfectly the receiver will not jump. He'll do that little quick clapping-like motion leaving the cornerback the only one still jumping.

Like stp said, we'll just have to live with it for now.
