What gave you the impression it was a draw play? Manning goes back and holds the ball out to hand it off right after the ball is hiked.
lol damn. sorry im using a lab top with a small screen, and the play was kinda fast so it looked like a draw. but still looked like he was rushing the qb

Probably should have kept coming and pursued from behind in case the defenders out front could slow him down.
I don't blame anyone for seeing it that way because it is hard to tell what happened with the limited view available in that clip.

I was running a 4-6 blitz with the middle and left outside linebacker blitzing. I shift the line to the left and the LOLB comes up the middle untouched but completely misses the RB, going for the QB I guess, no biggie. However, for a reason I can't figure out, Laron Landry, the safety "down in the box" for the 4-6, comes off the edge, presumably seeing that it's a run but doesn't take an angle to make a tackle until the RB is heading into the middle-right hole.

It looks ridiculous in the full featured replay but I can't capture that, unfortunately.....

Yeah, I hate seeing that. Out of curiosity, what's your run reaction slider set to. Not saying that's "the reason" why it happened (seems like you have to qualify stuff), but it's one of the things I'm trying to erase by jacking it up as high as I can.

I couldn't help but literally LOL when I read this part because this was from a game I just played in that online franchise I mentioned in my first post, which of course, doesn't include sliders.

Soooooo.......yeah, the run reaction slider is whatever the heck the default setting is for online All Madden. Not trying to imply you should have known this was an online game or anything because I realize I didn't specify that. I am just pointing out how this ties in with what I was stating in my first post about the need for these sliders adjustments, so many people refer to, being available in online franchises.

Ah that would be 25 then if it uses default All-Madden.

Like I said, I don't know if that's why it happened or even a factor (like you said, could just be bad AI and the high reaction slider will just make that bad AI happen faster).

I know I never liked it that low, but others use lower than that and see good run D so who knows.

Check this one out. Instead of passing through the WR to make the pick, the DB pulls the WR back through him!

This was from an offline franchise game, default all-madden sliders on the 360.

Wow...Just...wow.

That's even more ridiculous.

See, it's because of things like this I believe there is no way to record the in-game replay, as a feature. It's so head scratching to me, that things like this go unmentioned by developers, when they obviously exist. It's not like this is random stuff that happens occasionally, some degree of this happens in seemingly every online game I play.

You can't time the slant and place it inside before you see the receiver has gotten the position on the defender because the defender might get inside first. So ok, you wait until you clearly see the receiver has beaten the defender inside and then throw but wait....the defender warps/teleports into position anyway to knock down or intercept the pass. Same thing with comeback routes and other plays when defenders just "glide" around in front of receivers, like that Monday Night Football telestrator graphic, with little representation of receivers "boxing out".

Also, that wouldn't be nearly as bad if when the defender goes into whatever interception/catch animation, Madden would make the nearby receiver go into a swat/strip the catch animation. They already have those type animations, so I just don't understand why once the defender has warped/teleported into position to possibly intercept the ball, pass defense animations can't be triggered for nearby receivers.

I am sure there would me many, many more interceptions in the NFL, just like in Madden, if receivers didn't "defend" errant passes.
