lol. Nice post Steve, another funny clip from Kenny Mayne and ESPN, their always good for a laugh.

That said, on a more serious note, is there a regulation football field sized studio at Tiburon for motion capturing? I ask because that little swatch of field with the nets doesn't seem like it can allow athletes to properly reconstruct some on-field actions of a full size football field, like all pass trajectory. It's like mo' capping Kickers kicking field goals using that net on the sideline for warming up.

Does anyone get what I am talking about or am I just living up to my username over nothing?

I see what you are saying and your reasoning for motion capturing on a regulation size field makes sense.

I know very little about what is required for proper motion capturing but if your theory is correct then it would make more sense financially for EA to make use of real NFL or NCAA indoor practice facilities or possibly a stadium for a couple of weeks or so, rather than investing a huge amount of money on a regulation size facility of there own.

Just food for thought???

Yeah, I considered that but having to transport the necessary equipment to a remote location might prove daunting. I figured with having three annual release, big budget titles like FIFA, Madden and NCAA, which could all presumably utilize the same space with limited modification, it would be a sound investment. I have been asking about the scaling in next-gen Madden for years and this might have something to do with that stuff as well but I don't know.

Little things like this give me the impression that EA has not historically been investing in the authenticity of their sports games outside of graphics. I hope this changes drastically in the coming years
