Question about last gen Madden's

Madden 08 is my favorite. Minor gameplay upgrades from previous and pretty much the same franchise mode as the older versions. Madden 08 has a pretty big PC following as well so there are updated rosters/mods available online. I also prefer it over ps2 09-12 because I like the Al Michaels/John Madden commentary over Collinsworth,Hammond, or Gus.

05 is pretty good, I happen to be a fan of the vision cone on last gen tho and it's not in that version.

09 may have a play creator in the game tho, not sure. One of the newer versions does and that adds some value to the game.

I didn't play much of Madden 06 but I went from 05 to 07 and I played 05 a lot more. I liked the in season progression that 05 had (not sure if 06 had it or anything) since you didn't have to wait until the end of the season for a ratings increase

The whole points thing after the games I also liked. Where if you threw 300+ yards you got points, then you spent those points on card packs. Kind of like MUT, except franchise games earned the coins but you never really used the cards. Except those stupid "Your WRs can now jump 20 ft"

Sure maybe I am biased towards 05 since that was the main football game of my late childhood.

Are there anymore bugs/issues in versions that you guys know about. I'm editing the 06 game and surprisingly have had fun playing the game. I never played 05 to 08 due to playing nfl 2k5. After finally giving up on 2k I started back with madden 06. I didn't even know i had it to be honest. Is worth getting a different year? I have every ncaa title as well, so I can use the import draft class feature.

I play M08 on PC now with new rosters. It's pretty good still. I can't believe how much better the contact between players & other animations were.
