Well, I will tell you this, I got the Xbox version and love it. My friend rented the PS2 version and it was crap imo. Just something not right with it, but the Xbox version feels and plays very polished.

Anyways - does anyone know if the PS2 version of Madden 2004 allows you to use updated rosters ONLINE?? ESPN 2k4 doesn't which is my biggest gripe.

Lol, your more concerned with how the coaches look, how about Maddens muppet player models man. Please tell me you dont think they are superior to the ultra realistic ESPN players.

Madden to ESPN back to Madden. Presnetation great but gameplay has brought me back. How can you playt a game where the CPU punts from your 31?

to answer your question, yes. You can use roster updates for online play. You actually have to. It won't let you play unless you have the most current roster.
