I had a conversation with my sister the other day that perplexed. She called me a 'gamer' and I told her I was offended by the implication. I retorted that I am a "Madden Player" and should not be considered a 'gamer.' So she asked me what the difference was... I didn't have an answer. Help a brother out.

What's the difference between a 'gamer' and a 'Madden Player?'

While the term *gamer* is widely used to describe someone who spends much of their leisure time playing or learning about games. I wouldnt categorize u as such. A gamer to me is a video game enthusiast who enjoys a wide variety of games and once beaten, moves on to the next. You however consume your video game playing experience with one game, Madden NFL. I would think this is more of a reflection on your love for football not your love for video games.

I don't love games, but I love football, so I only play football games. I used to play other sports games too, but time at this point is limited so it's down to football.

An alcoholic is an alcoholic regardless of the type of liquor one consumes. So in that matter your *** is a gamer lol.

I don't get caught up with labels, so I dunno. I love gaming, and other "nerdy" stuff. So I guess I'm a nerd. I also love to run and workout every day. That makes me an athlete? I'm into hugging trees and eating granola. A Hippie?

I'm a nerdy hippie athlete? Yeah, labels are stupid.
