Drafting question

So, I finally have gotten around to getting this game. First time in over a decade I did not buy it at release.... so I am kinda late to the party.

Just have one quick question.. How are the drafts this year? Both imported and generated. In the past they both have had their issues... just wondering if one or the other stands out and is better then the other this year... or are they business as usual.

Re: Drafting question

i personally hate the imported draft classes because theres always something wrong with it. the generated draft classes are decent, but theres a bit too many 'sleepers'

Re: Drafting question

generated-decent, no problems.
Imported-Terrible. There are absolutely no steals within the draft like you will find in a generated class. Players are basically drafted in the order of their overall. The best guys start getting picked at 1 and it keeps going down. After pick #40 there are no good players left so you basically have to trade up if you want a couple good players.

That has been one of my biggest pet peeves over the years, the fact that have never found a way to mix up imported classes to make them interesting. As for the generated, I like that it has sleepers and all... but I gave up on those after I managed to find my entire starting offensive line in the 7th round over a two draft period..... pro bowl caliber starters... all without doing any scouting whatsoever. It was just TOO easy... and ended up floodding the league after only a few seasons with high quality generated players... leaving good real players to rot in the FA pool.

they dont have the pentagon that practically showed the players overall anymore. so finding sleepers isnt THAT easy, but if you socut correctly, you should find atleast one first round caliber player from mid to late round
