Truth (aka Dan Brown) is a user with his own thoughts and opinions. He's entitled to them, same as the rest of us.
That said, I have unpublished film that demonstrates why the strip tackle is a gamble... If I were to put together a video with only broken tackles and failed strip attempts, I'm sure I could convince people that the Strip tackle isn't as effective as Truth makes it seem in his videos where the Strip tackle seems overly effective (but I won't).
Sprinting into a tackler attempting a strip and releasing SPRINT and initiating "COVER BALL" just before contact tends to negate the strip tackle's effectiveness at ripping the ball out. Furthermore, initiating a Highlight Stick move that leans into a player attempting a strip WHILE covering the ball tends to drag and/or break tackle attempts more regularly. Once a player is in the grasp of a tackler ripping at the ball, pumping the SPRINT button seems to make tackles less successful. Of course - the user must engage the buttons to counter the strip action of defenders.
Alas, the user is still center stage.
