New Overtime Rule

This rule would actually increase ties since a fg doesnt win it right away. The other team could tie it on the next possession with another fg.

I think if ties increase as a result of this rule change it should be considered, but ties are so rare that its really a non issue right now.

I'm pretty sure that if both teams kick a FG, then it reverts back to sudden death. Whomever scores next is the winner, regardless of FG or TD.

Or am I just making things up?

Additionally, if you force a safety on the other team in their first possession, the game is over.

Should be interesting... I know Raiders beat my chiefs in OT with just a FG the last two seasons.
