*** Detriot Lions Franchise (AWESOME FUTURE) *** Tell me what u think

Hey...I recently started a Detroit Lions franchise and it's gonna be an awesome future for the team....check it out

I'm currently in my 2nd year and these are the starters and their ratings, ones with an R are rookies

CURRENT ROSTER
QB - Joey Harrington (87)
HB - Willis McGahee (80)
WR - Charles Rogers (90)
- Reggie Williams, (85r)
- Az Hakim (75)
TE - James Dugan (70r)

OL - they're rated 70 OVR, but not much to talk about here

DE - Kalimba Edwards (84)
- John Hall (72)

DT - Luther Ellis (90)
- Shaun Rogers (85)

ROLB - Teddy Lehman [Oklahoma] (78r)

MLB - Jonathan Vilma [Miami] (85r)
- Earl Holmes (90)

LOLB - Boss Bailey (80)

CB - Deltha O'Neal (88)
- Terrence Newman (88)

FS - Terrence Holt (69)

SS - Maurice Sikes [Miami] (73)

Year 1 - Basically just simmed...but here were the moves I made to get my team
- Traded James Stewart for Terrence Newman
- Traded Robert Porcher for Willis McGahee, 1st rounder
- Traded Mike McMahon, 2nd rounder for Cardinals 1st rounder

- Simmed through the whole season, ended up with the worst record in the league.
- Cards, Bills both ended with the 3rd and 4th worst records respectively.

- Drafted Reggie Williams (#1), Jonathan Vilma (#3), Teddy Lehman (#4) and picked up Maurice
Sikes in the 3rd round

- Only on FA signing, and that was Deltha O'Neal

Year 2 - Trained Reggie Williams in the catch drill and ended up with 7 points, bring him from an
82 to an 85.
- Trained Vilma in the Chase and Tackle drill and ended up with 5 points, bringing him from
and 82 to an 84

- Preseason progression - Rogers jumped from an 87 to a 90.

I'm currently ready to start the next season, pushed my team from a 78 OVR in Year 1 to a 80 OVR in Year 2. My biggest improvement has to come at the O-line either through the free agency or the draft....but I'm looking to get one of my boys from Miami, Sean Taylor (FS) or Kellen Winslow (TE).

If you got this far, thanks for reading. More updates coming later, game by game.

Hey, nice work! I'm a fellow Lions fan myself.

Anyway, just so ya know, there's a forum a bit down the page called Dynasty HQ dedicated to people posting logs as they go through their dynasties/franchises. So post this there and update there. Good luck!

You know in real life the Cowboys would NEVER give up the 5th overall draft pick for James Stewart, don't you?

Hell, they wouldn't even give you Troy Hambrick for James Stewart.

cheese....yes....

but all I tried to do was look at the extra baggage I had at each position and give them to a team who need 'em and I got a player in turn. I drive a good bargain and a pretty good trade ethic. However my main problem would be to keep a young team like this together.

good point. i try not to make too many trades because the cpu is pretty easily ripped off(as seen by this guy's trades) but that's just me. i can understand the excitement of trying to put together a team of the most talented young players in the game. have fun when all their contracts run up though!
