Cam Newton's likeness

The other day, I saw a commercial with Cam Newton. I've seen Cam many times before, but when I played Madden after seeing that commercial,I really noticed his Madden face looks NOTHING like his real face. There are so many other players whose images have been scanned into the game, why not the first overall pick? Was he unavailable for scanning or they couldn't just look at a picture of him? Just seems strange to me.

I have noticed this for several rookies on Madden through out the years, It's like they guess on the first face rarley do they get the faces right, last gen Rookie Reggie Bush looked nothing like himself either.

I just realized that they probably make the game before most (if not all) rookies are signed to an NFL contract and are therefore not permitted to use their likeness.
