Yeah, that looked too fluid to just be a "physics-based" system; that looks like a full "physics system". I mean, look how many people are involved in that sequence.

If this turns out to be true, I'ma be like "Thank you, Based God"...

Yup, I saw this last night and I am THRILLED! Looks like the big gameplay announcement may very well be a physics system which would be MONUMENTAL!

The guy who made that video was also down at community day..... So he probably already knows exactly what is going on. If they do add physics and it WORKS, then this will probably be the best football game ever. I just wish they could have gotten to OL/DL and foot planting and better running animations. That would make this game unbelievable!!

I was originally very upset thinking that the only major change was passing. But if they added physics then I am 100% on board the hype train!!

Re: Real Time Physics accidently revealed in presentation webcast?

Like I said in the other thread, you would be able to tell yesterday if it is in there or not. The game looks better in a lot of areas. I still don't like the sliding and I am really bummed about no combo pass blocking for the OL because that might mean the DL does not have stunts, which IMO sucks big time because the learning curve and putting together defensive schemes might turn out to be very BASIC like years past.

If they have half and qtr slides that work right MIGHT save it for me.

I think it's just because the Steelers are a sound-fundamental tackling team!!

This appears to be a big step up for Madden, aesthetically at the very least.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: Real Time Physics accidently revealed in presentation webcast?

Look at the way #54 leg bends at the end of the tackle, theres definitly some type of physics engine ebing used. Also the 2 Bengal players that fall on top of each other at the end of the tackle is defenitly something we havnt seen yet. They are definitly reacting to whats going on in the field with the other bodies invloved and it is defintly not a canned animation. They kept saying throughout the whole thing that the gameplay isnt final and to excuse any bugs or glitches we see. Im sure they were very carefull not to show too much of any physics engine evidence that would completely give it away. If this is true then im sure its gonna be a blend of previous animations mixed with a blend of physics that they will build on as later Maddens come out.

Re: Real Time Physics accidently revealed in presentation webcast?

My assessment on a small scale implementation of physics was correct

I don't see how you can't see from that video that some form of physics are being calculated.
