how many minute qtrs are you playing?
Elite DE's and LB's should be getting to the QB. For me, it doesn't matter if I control a DE or not, they get into a patty cake animation with the tackles.

The DT's, with their samurari take downs of the guards and centers, get to the QB first. Ryan Pickett or BJ Raji should not be my leading rusher, Claymaster should be the leading sacker.

Please, when you are down there next week, if you are going, address that with Clint.

Also, that is the way it should work for the 4-3, not the way I described above and that is the way it's been happening for awhile. The DE's need to get up the field and around more instead of the patty cake animation with the OT.

Thank you.

absolutely - Cover 2 should be one of the best defenses in the game but because people can get the ball out so quick I think that results in the issue with guys not getting enough sacks.

do you think the pass rushers are pushing upfield enough? or taking to hard angles inside toward the QB?

Actually, I'm strictly an offline gamer, but I'm sure it happens online as well, (because online gamers complain about it too) so, I'm going up against the CPU.

I see this pattern with the CPU and my AI defense.

No, in the past few Madden's the pass rushers get stuck or sucked into an animation with the tackles or guards. The DT's do a WWE move on the guards or center and they are the first to the QB.

The DE's and LB's that are rushing need to get upfield more.

Please, please, put a bug in Clint's ear that the OL needs to perform double team pass blocking on good DT like Suh or good DE's like Allen.

Thanks.

Well, on "normal" plays, he may or may not rush the passer. On obvious passing downs or against formations with 3+ receivers, blitz or not he's rushing the passer.

I don't do anything in particular to get him free, but then I don't do anything to free up Rat or my LDE and they get to the qb a bit more than Ware. On plays where he loops inside, he does slightly better I think , but I haven't really paid attention.

As an aside: I have serious doubts that rushers follow their play art. I've manually done what I think rushers should do, and I get better results.

LTs are just hard to beat, regardless of their abilities. I'm beginning to think it's something hard coded.

Depending on my mood I play 8 -12 min qtrs.

Not sure this is a true fix around, but check this thread above us.

This is exactly the issue we've been having with the pass rush with Madden recently.

For those that wonder why they are removing slant outs just look at any route tree. They aren't an actual route used in the nfl, the closest thing you get to them are short arrow routes which are basically flat routes by Madden standard.

The slant out was used by Peyton Manning in Indy... I guess it sorta the same as a fade route to the corner, but in madden it doesn't always work the same.
