Simulated games producing unrealistic stats?

I'm sure it's been said before, but some of the stats in simmed games are a little off. The first thing I noticed is that running backs are pretty lousy and often times only produce a 2 yard average like every game. Another strange thing I noticed is that every Free Safety only gets a total of around 15-20 tackles in a year. And this isn't just my team, it's league wide. And the weird thing is every other position including strong safety seems to have an accurate amount of tackles. When I actually play the games my safeties get tons of tackles, so I don't know why this is happening.

Is there a way to control simmed stats more with editing or do I just have to deal with it? Only reason I'm doing simulated franchises is because I simply can't play games anymore, it's entirely too frustrating because I keep thinking it'll be different and more fun every time and it's the same ol stuff.

To produce the most accurate stats, you need to control all 32 teams and edit their coaching schemes. That is too much work for me though, so I just let it be unrealistic. The thing that I hate the most is that with injuries on, QBs repeatedly get small injuries. If you don't have a 3rd string QB, your punter will come in at quaterback!

What exactly needs to be edited with their coaching schemes? Because after free agency I can edit every team regardless if I don't control them and change a lot of positions based on their systems. Like if a 3-4 team signs an athletic pass rushing DE i switch him to OLB and slightly improve some stats like coverage and stuff. Same with a 4-3 team gets a 3-4 DE I switch him to DT.

I summed 9 games once and all 3 of my QBs had about the same amount of yds n TDs. And considering both my backups were rated in the low 60s that's just dumb. I switched to 32 team control. But then madden hits that boring stage and I move on. Seem to play less n less each passing year.

Talking Re: Simulated games producing unrealistic stats?

It has nothing to do with controlling all 32 teams and everything to do with editing the rosters I spent weeks testing what was the cause of the FS and SS not getting tackles and found out it was because players were not getting back into there zone enough. The LBs would steal the tackles from them when simming. If you want more realistic stats for simming you must do this and It does take a while. First lower all D-Linemen pursuit except for players who are in on every play, drop by like 20, then drop all play rec by like 10. Then Drop all LBs pursuit by 20 and Play rec. You can also drop all LBs jump by 20 to eliminate Superman LBs this really helps the pass game and allows players to get open. If you do all this and yes it drops players ratings a little but its the only way for the D to get the right amount of tackles when simming and playing out the games...
