The fact that you know the answer to this and it's cover by the NDA gives me hope that there is news of a new player editor.

I remember asking a EA dev last year in private message regarding the ability to edit the run style and ball carry style in the player edit screen via like the throwing motion. And the response was that they are working on it and would most likely not make it into 12. But he did say that they had plans or looking into revamping the player edit screen
