The answer to the Question may varies depending on who you ask.
If you ask a tournament player or a good online madden player what is stick skill they would tell you that stick skill just simply mean a player have good madden skills or a player is good at madden. if you ask a sim baller same Question they would tell you that stick skill is cheesing or a player is playing the game unrealistically or just cheating.

well i personally thinks a good madden player is a player that can go against any opponent type(tourny or sim player) and come out a WIN is a good madden player. the only kind of player that could accomplish such a task is a madden player with insane stick skill, so

tell me what you will consider a good madden player.
if madden was true to the game how good is a sim ballers vs tourny players.
if consider yourself to be a sim baller do you think you can come out with a Win against tourny player if madden was true to the game.

I define a good madden player by how well he can adapt and adjust to foreign situations.

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. How well can you adjust to the situation when your opponent is punching back.

And yes sim players can beat tournament style players. It all comes back to how you adjust.

It isnt just one sided tourney style guys still have to adjust to sim playstyle guys as well. How do they adjust to various formation/concepts? the person who adjusts the best will win the majority of games

Exactly. The great Madden players take a strategy in, then adjust accordingly with how the game plays out. Strategy defines a great Madden player. Impose your will on your opponent.

to me stick skill is how well you adapt and anticipate your opponents next move.
