I know this is a hot topic with a few so i thought i would make a video about it - what are your thoughts?

Going to watch your vid. This is my area. I have a great deal to say on this. IT's not just DE it's also 3-4 OLB and CB's coming off the edge.

I totally disagree with the theory that the lack of 4 down linemen pass rush has anything to do with people being great at playing Madden. You have to look at the fact that you were in practice mode (which a lot of people claim plays differently than the actual game) and you were using the best DE tandem in the entire game. I have played tons of games with the Lions and my LE - Cliff Avril (88 Finesse moves I believe) barely even sniffed the QB, and when he did, it was always in the 5-6 second range. I had a friend in an Online Franchise that drafted an 88 overall beast of a 4-3 DE, and dude was completely worthless at getting to the QB.

Trust me, this is much more of an issue than what your testing may have shown. Below are some links that much better represent the type of stuff I (and others) are seeing in Madden regarding the 4 down linemen pass rushing issue. Also notice that in the last video (and certain instances with your tests), if you step up in the pocket on some of those plays (and don't just sit there), the DE's will get stuck on blocks even longer.

I agree on this as well, as I have Kyle Vanden Bosch on the Lions and he is pretty much useless. Granted, he only has 80 power moves, but that should at least allow him to get pressure sometimes, especially against weaker LT's.
